VICTOR, N.Y. (AP) — Members of a volunteer fire company have had to put out a blaze that started in their own western New York fire station.

The Ontario County Sheriff's Office says a fire was reported shortly after midnight Sunday at the Maple Avenue fire station in the Ontario County town of Victor, 15 miles southeast of Rochester.

Officials say the fire apparently started in the engine of a truck that was parked inside the building. The blaze was contained quickly and the damage was limited to the front of the truck.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Investigators are working to find out what caused the fire.
