Fire Destroys Cooperstown Bat Company Building in Hartwick

Multiple fire crews were on scene yesterday to battle a blaze at the Cooperstown Bat Company building located on Poplar Avenue in Hartwick, NY.

The initial announcement of the blaze came courtesy of the Otsego County Fire Wire Facebook page. The site that caught fire is the former Phillips' Lumber Company building.

The following departments responded to the scene to assist with battling the blaze.

There is no word yet on the total extent of the damage, but early reports indicate a total loss at that location.
