FISHKILL, N.Y. (AP) — Firefighters are battling a massive blaze that has ripped through a Gap Inc. distribution center in the Hudson Valley.

The Poughkeepsie Journal reports (http://pojonews.co/2c6TWBk ) flames shot into the sky late Monday and the fire appeared to be mostly doused by 3 a.m. Tuesday at the Fishkill facility. Firefighters from at least three counties have been called in to battle the blaze.

Gap spokeswoman Debbie Felix says all employees at the site have been accounted for and are safe.

The facility opened in 2000 and expanded a year later. The company announced plans in 2014 to add 1,200 jobs over a five-year period and invest $96 million into the distribution center. The facility had more than 425 employees at the time of that announcement.

It's unclear what caused the blaze.
