Flights Delays Following Fire at FAA Facility in Illinois
UPDATE: 09/26/2014 12:05pm MetroSource is reporting that the groundstop has been cancelled at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and Midway Airport.
Flights are taking off once again and being allowed to land at both airports.
Airport officials say it will take some time to catch up on delays. Reports seem to indicate that a contract worker intentionally set the fire at the facillity. Overall more than a thousand flights have been delayed or cancelled since 5:30am CT this morning.
UPDATE: 09/26/2014 11:40 Chicago's O'Hare International Airport says the ground stop is still in place. It is now affecting more than seven hundred flights at O'Hare. Travellers are advised to check with their airlines for specific flight information.
