Fugitive from Massachusetts Wanted in Connection with Homicide Arrested in Utica
A fugitive wanted by authorities in Massachusetts has been found in Utica.
35-Year old Tarrane Tillis from Lowell, Massachusetts is awaiting extradition.
Utica Police say they were contacted over the weekend when investigators had a lead that Tillis was in a home on Roberts Street in Utica. Shortly afterward the U.S. Marshal's New York / New Jersey Fugitive Regional Task Force took him into custody.
It is alleged that Tillis was one of five men who took part in a home invasion that resulted in the death of Christiano Diaz-Arias on December 18, 2013.
According to an article by Lisa Redmond of The Lowell-Sun the other four men are in custody as well.
