Another week and gas prices continue to fall.

Ed Welsh, General Manager of AAA Central New York, says prices are falling at their fastest rate since January and have now gone down nationwide 18 days in a row.

The average price in the Utica-Rome area is $2.73 a gallon, down 13 cents from a month ago.

Welsh says if sanctions against Iran are lifted and Iranian crude oil comes to the market, prices could drop even further.  He also says we could see a significant price drop after Labor Day with the end of the summer driving season.
