Albany, NY (WIBX) - How would you like to rappel down the Adirondack Bank Building?

"Over the Edge", a fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics New York, will be taking place on Thursday August 11th, from 10:00 to 6:00.

100 "Edgers" will have the chance to rappel off the building on Genesee Street in downtown Utica, with each having to raise at least $1,000.

Organizers are hoping to raise $100,000 for Special Olympics athletes across the state.

Utica Mayor David Roefaro and Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente have already committed to take part in the event.

Over the Edge events have also been held in Buffalo and Albany.
