Herkimer County Standoff Ends Peacefully

Columbia, NY (WIBX) - A Town of Columbia man who had barricaded himself inside his home surrendered to State Police this morning following a 16 hour standoff.Donald Brown was taken into custody without incident at around 8:00.

Troopers were called to a home on Route 28 for a domestic dispute at around 4:00 Monday afternoon.

Brown had allegedly threatened to shoot police.

He was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for a mental health evaluation.
