It's been reported that he was going to Houston, then on the fence about leaving Los Angeles - and $30 million on the table, but Dwight Howard is heading to the Rockets.

Howard officially announced his decision publicly on twitter just before 11 p.m. eastern on Friday night:


A three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Howard will likely ink a four-year, $88 million deal after opting out of the final year of his contract to stay in L.A.Had he re-signed with the Lakers, he could have seen five-years and $188 million - the purported reason he was split between the two clubs.
