HP Hood Completes Expansion Project In Oneida
The HP Hood Company in Oneida has completed a $36 million expansion project and is creating 25 new jobs.
A low-cost power allocation from the New York Power Authority's ReCharge NY Program is supporting about 225 jobs at the milk products plant.
The power allocation is directly tied to the company's expansion project and the retention of 200 existing jobs.
Gil Quiniones, NYPA president and CEO, said, “ReCharge NY has been a great benefit to Central New York, creating nearly 1,200 jobs in the region since power was first provided under the Governor’s program in 2012. This expansion project by HP Hood is great news for the local community as it signals the company’s strong commitment to the area.”
The HP Hood expansion included the installation of an additional milk products line, cold storage and expanded facility capacity.
