Illinois Man Arrested In Rome Facing Additional Charge

An Illinois man who was arrested in Rome on a rape charge after being found was a missing teen is facing an additional charge.

Rome Police found 27-year old Dakota Adair in a motel room with a runaway 16-year old girl.

Police say officers recovered a loaded handgun from the glovebox of Adair's vehicle.

They say Adair had a license for the handgun in Illinois, but not in New York.

Adair was charged with one count of criminal possession of a weapon.

He's being held in Oneida County Jail on $100,000 bail.
