Insight House To Offer Free Narcan Training

Due to a recent spike in the number of heroin overdoses in Oneida County, Insight House on Whitesboro Street in Utica will be offering free Narcan training on April 10th from 2:00 to 3:00.

Seating is limited and you're asked to call Insight House to register for the session by calling 315-724-5168 ext. 238.

Individuals who complete the training will learn how to administer Narcan and will receive a free Narcan rescue kit.

Narcan is used to reverse heroin overdoses.

There have been 21 heroin overdoses in the County over the past 10 days that resulted in five fatalities.  Seven of the overdoses took place in a 24-hour period.
