Oneida County is offering free training on the use of the life saving medicine Narcan.

Whether injected or administered as a nasal spray, Narcan or Naloxone can temporarily reverse an opioid overdose.

Oneida County is sponsoring the community Narcan Trainings at the Center for Family Life and Recovery on Court Street in Utica. The first is planned for next Thursday morning, May 9, from 9-10 a.m.

Other free community trainings are set for:

  • May 17 from noon to 1:00 p.m.
  • June 11 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • June 17 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
