Oriskany Falls Man Killed in Motorcycle/Deer Accident

UPDATE: Madison County Sheriffs have identified the victim of the accident as 60-year old Daniel Gorman from Oriskany Falls.

Details are expected to be released later today as the investigation into an accident involving a motorcycle and deer in the Madison County Town of Eaton continues.

A motorcycle driver, whose identity is not being released at this time, hit a deer and was ejected from his bike. A witness called 911.

The accident forced the closure and re-routing of the eastbound lanes of State Route 20 for about an hour and a half yesterday, September 4, 2013, shortly after 7:30pm.

Madison County Sheriffs say the driver, who was brought to a Syracuse Hospital, suffered "serious injuries."

New York State Police, SUNY Morrisville Police, Morrisville Fire and Rescue, Smithfield Fire ad Rescue, SEVAC Ambulance and CAVAC Ambulance assisted Madison County Sheriffs at the scene.
