Legislation To Help Craft Brewers Signed Into Law

Albany, NY (WIBX) - Legislation sponsored by Senator Joseph Griffo and Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi that will help the FX Matt Brewery and other craft brewers has been signed by the Governor.

The new law will allow the state's small independent breweries to end costly, exclusive contracts with large beer wholesalers that do not market or promote their brands.

Nick Matt, Chairman and CEO of the FX Matt Brewing Company, says the law will help his business and other craft brewers in the state by improving their access to markets.

Brindisi says that will help them grow their businesses and create more good paying jobs.
