Local Hospitals Support New Smoking Regulation

A new law goes into effect on Friday that bans smoking on the grounds of hospitals and residential healthcare facilities in New York.

Oneida County's three local hospitals say they strongly support the new regulation.

Faxton-St. Luke's and St. Elizabeth Medical Center and their facilities have been tobacco free since November of 2006.

Rome Memorial Hospital became tobacco free in 2007.
