UPDATED 12:24 pm- Rome Police say a posting on social media caused Rome Free Academy to be put on "lock out" this morning.

Police say the posting, received and viewed by a student at RFA, was four photographs of a gun.

They say the posting did not include a threat to either the student or the high school, but it did mention the ongoing battle with terrorists.

Police located the individual who had made the posting and he was interviewed at length by Rome Police detectives and members of the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force.

It was determined that the individual had downloaded photos of guns from the internet and then posted them to his social media site as a joke to his friends.

The lock out was lifted at 10:30.

The individual, who is not a student in the Rome City School District, was turned over to the custody of his parents.  No criminal charges are expected.
