ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — A jury has found a western New York man guilty of murder in a fatal road rage shooting.

The Monroe County District Attorney's Office says 29-year-old Theotis Davis Jr. was convicted Wednesday in the death of 26-year-old Willie Curry.

Prosecutors say Davis and Curry were involved in a dispute in Rochester in April when several people pulled handguns and started shooting. Davis fired multiple times, and Curry was struck once in the lower body.

Curry was found lying in the middle of the road, and he died from his injuries at a nearby hospital.

Police say the argument stemmed from a stopped vehicle blocking traffic. Assistant District Attorney Kyle Steinebach says Curry's death was a "completely senseless act of violence."

Davis faces 40 years to life in prison during sentencing.
