New Hartford Woman Accused of Stealing Thousands from Kirkland Arts Center
A New Hartford woman who worked for the Kirkland Art Center is accused of stealing thousands of dollars fro the local non-profit while employed there.
Jennifer Walker, 47, is charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree following an investigation by the Oneida County Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Unit. A release from the sheriff's office says the probe started after receiving a complaint from the local non-profit art center.
Walker created a PayPal account for the KAC, investigators say, however was using the account to make several personal transactions. Over the course of several years, the personal charges totaled thousands of dollars, a release from the sheriff's office said.
Walked was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charges at a later date.
