New York State Agencies Look To Get Some Holiday Spending

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Some state agencies are hoping to cash in on the holiday shopping frenzy this weekend.

The Department of Environmental Conservation is offering a special deal on its Conservationist magazine through Monday — a one-year subscription for $6. That's half off the normal price for six issues, and includes a bonus seventh issue.

The Department of Agriculture and Markets is holding its annual "Cyber Monday" sale on tickets to the 2017 State Fair. The online-only sale offers 20,000 admission tickets for $3 each, half off the regular advance sale price and 70 percent off the price at the gate.

The fair tickets are being sold through the fair's official online seller, etix.com (http://bit.ly/2fpZxTo ). A vendor charge and credit card fee bring the total to $3.21 per ticket.
