NYSP Conclude Their Investigation Into Fatal House Fire In Oswego

Town of New Haven, NY (WIBX) - State police are investigating a fatal house fire in the Town of New Haven in Oswego County. Officials say, when fire fighters were able to enter the structure, they located a deceased man inside.

His identity is being withheld pending confirmation by the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office. The fire is under investigation by the New Haven Fire Department, the Oswego County Fire Cause and Origin Team, and New York State Police.

UPDATE: NYSP have released the name of the deceased man. The man is identified as 55-year-old Adrian E. Richardson Jr. Officials say his body was located in an addition at the back of the house by firefighters. The cause of the fire appears to be a woodstove (or it's piping) in the same room. The Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office determined the cause of death to be smoke inhalation due to the house fire. There are no signs of any criminality in this case.
