One Dead Following Cazenovia Lake Incident

Cazenovia, NY (WIBX) - A Manlius man is dead after falling out of his canoe while fishing on Cazenovia Lake.

According to the Madison County Sheriff's Office, Arthur Morris III, 64, was fishing 100 feet from the shore around 4 p.m. yesterday, when he allegedly fell into the water.

Several canoes and kayaks paddled over to help Morris, who was unresponsive.

Morris was then taken to Saint Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse where he was pronounced dead shortly after 5 p.m.

Sheriff's Deputies will continue to investigate the incident, while an autopsy is being performed.
