Utica, NY (WIBX) - One wild boar was shot but officials say they are still receiving calls that another might be roaming the streets of Utica.

Department of Environmental Conservation Regional Wildlife Manager Jim Farquhar is warning people to stay away from the boar and call authorities if they see it.  He says the DEC is monitoring feral pigs and hopes that this case is an isolated one in Oneida County.  Observations should be reported to the DEC's Utica office at: (315) 793.2554 or the Watertown office at: (315) 785.2263.  Farquhar says if a person feels threatened in any way he or she should immediately call 911.
