Oneida Man Drowns In Salmon River

State Police are investigating the drowning death of an Oneida man in the Salmon River.

Troopers say 76-year old Keith Leonard was attempting to cross the river when he was swept downriver and subsequently drowned.

Police say Leonard was fishing in the New York State DEC Fishing Access area in the Town of Albion.
