Vernon, NY (WIBX) - Here's some good news for parents looking to keep kids busy heading into the summer months. The Oneida Indian Nation Recreation Department is offering a free co-ed Lacrosse and T-Ball workshops for youths age 6 to 10, and for boys in grades 9 through 11. The workshops will run from May to June. Both programs will be held at the Oneida Nation lacrosse box on Territory Road in Oneida. Registration is required.

The details are as follows:

May 1 to June 5 Co-Ed Lacrosse Workshop For Age 6 to 10

Tuesdays from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

May 3 to June 7 For Boys in Grades 9 Through 11

Thursdays 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

May 1 to June 5 Co-Ed T-ball Workshop for age 6 to 10

Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Organizers say players must bring their own glove and the Oneida Nation Recreation Department will supply all other equipment. Also, registration and waiver forms for both programs must be completed by a parent or guardian prior to the first practice.
