Police Investigate ‘Suspicious’ Death Of 69-Year-Old Man

GREECE, N.Y. (AP) — Police in upstate New York are investigating the death of a 69-year-old man who was found dead in his home.

Authorities say the man was found by a family member Tuesday afternoon in his home near the Lake Ontario shoreline in the town of Greece, a Rochester suburb. Greece Police Chief Patrick Phelan says relatives were worried because they hadn't heard from him in a few days.

Police are considering the death suspicious. Phelan says there was a "fair amount of blood" in the kitchen where the man was found. Police say there weren't any signs of a break-in.

Police have not released the name of the man.

An investigation is continuing.
