HANNIBAL, N.Y. (AP) — State police say an accident on a central New York road over the weekend has claimed the life of a 38-year-old man.

Troopers say a 47-year-old woman from Red Creek was driving east on state Route 3 in the Oswego County town of Hannibal around 9 p.m. Saturday when she hit a person who was crossing the road a half mile west of county Route 7.

The pedestrian, identified as Patrick J. Boyzuck II, of Oswego, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and her two passengers weren't injured.

Troopers say sobriety tests conducted on the driver at the scene of the accident found no evidence of alcohol or drug impairment.

Police say their investigation is continuing.
