A Yonkers man is now facing charges after allegedly hitting another car on I-287 while drunk and then leaving the scene of an accident.

The accident happened at about 8:00pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2014.  New York State Police received a complaint from a Scarsdale man who said that the driver of a gray Porsche Cayenne made an unsafe lane change and hit his vehicle while driving west on I-287 in the Westchester County town of Greenburgh.

A passenger in the car that was hit took a picture of the Porsche as it passed without stopping.  The photograph, troopers say, clearly shows the vehicle's license plate.

State Police found the car's owner at home and interviewed him.  The man, 44-year old David M. Colgan, confirmed that he owned the Porsche involved in the incident. Police say Colgan's car had damage consistent with the account of the accident.
Colgan was arrested and has been charged with alleged DWI refusal, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and performing an unsafe lane change.
He was released to the care of another person and is scheduled to appear in court on April 25, 2014.
