He will become only the third sitting President to visit the North American International Auto Show.

Today President Barack Obama will visit the auto show in Detroit.

The "Detroit News" says that security for the show will be tight in anticipation of the President's visit.  According to the paper the only other sitting American Presidents to visit the Detroit Auto Show have been President Dwight Eisenhower and President Bill Clinton.

Following his visit to the auto show, President Obama will head to the UAW-GM Center for Human Resources where he is expected to talk about the American auto industry.
