Rochester-Based Wegman’s Ranked Best Supermarket in America
A New York-based grocery chain ranked number one as the best grocery store in America according to a popular consumer product testing service.
In the May 2015 issue of Consumer Reports Wegman's ranked the best overall supermarket. It scored highest overall for quality produce, meat, bakery items, store-produced food, cleanliness, and staff courtesy.
Based on customer feedback gathered by Consumer Reports, Wegman's scored a 90 out of 100.
The company, based in Rochester, New York, beat out Lakeland, Florida-based Publix Supermarkets and Trader Joe's.
Last on the list was Walmart Supercenter.
