Two Rome men are facing charges after attempting to steal railroad track material and scrap it for cash.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol, deputies received a call from someone who said two men were allegedly putting things into the back of a pick up truck parked near Reber Road.

A deputy stopped the truck a short time later, where the materials were found in the vehicle's bed.
