Rome Voters Approve Strough Project

Rome, NY (WIBX) - Rome residents have approved a proposal to borrow $25.4 million to renovate Strough Middle School. Tuesday's vote was 903-to-539.

Rome Superintendent Jeff Simons says nearly 98% of the the funding for the project will be reimbursed by the state.

Work is expected to begin in three years.
