The family and friends of a young man who was tragically struck and killed by a drunk driver are planning a memorial Run/Walk.

In August 2018, 18-year-old Connor Lynskey of Hinckly, NY was killed walking back to his campsite after a concert at Darien Lake. He ran ahead to meet other friends and was allegedly hit and killed by the drunk woman.

The Connor's Way 5-Mile Scenic Memorial will be held on Saturday, October 13th, 2018 in Connor's hometown on a course that he frequently ran. Its called Connor's Way for a reason. According to the race's website,

Follow in the shadow of the young man who loved to run around the lake and into the woods of Hinckley for the love of running.  Celebrate life, nature and community as you help fund a memorial and scholarship in Connor’s name, touching lives of future local doctors.  This is “Connor’s Way”…..

Money raised from this event will go to someone who will also be able to follow in Connor's footsteps. Connor was studying to be a rural physician to provide medical care for those who don't have the best access to it. The money raised from this event fill be put into a scholarship fund to allow someone with Connor's same passion to go to medical school.

Come out and support this young man's memory and allow his passions to live on.
