Utca, NY (WIBX) - Utica Police believe the same man may be behind a pair of brazen crimes, in one case robbing a woman at knife-point, and a separate, unprovoked attack of another woman.

A portion of the acts were captured with surveillance video, which can be seen below. And, police have released the above still photo of the man they think is responsible.

Police say the video below shows footage of the parking lot of the Price Chopper in South Utica on December 22, 2012, where the suspect approaches a woman after she enters her vehicle. Police say the victim was robbed a knife-point, then the suspect drives the woman's vehicle out of the parking lot with her still inside. The man exits the vehicle a short time later, and is the same man in the above surveillance photo, where he allegedly uses a card stolen from the victim.

Then, from this video dated December 30th, 2012, a man is seen entering the Save-A-Lot store on Oneida Street, looking around before police say assaulted an employee (at about the 2:05 mark of the clip) - but most of the attack is unable to be seen. The victim reportedly suffered knife wounds to her hands.

Anyone with information or the incidents, or the suspects is asked to call Utica Police at 223-3510. Calls may be kept confidential.
