Simon Cowell’s Son Born; Girlfriend Lauren Silverman Goes Into Labor On Valentine’s Day

There wasn't quite the anticipation of the William and Kate's 'Royal Baby' but Brit Simon Cowell and girlfriend Lauren Silverman welcomed a Valentine's baby on Friday.

The New York Daily News posted these photos of Cowell slipping out of the hospital for a smoke after his son Eric's birth:

“He’s incredible!” an overjoyed Cowell told the Daily News a few hours after the successful delivery of his first child. “His name is Eric, after my father.”

It is the first child for Cowell, the outspoken talent critic, and the second for Silverman, whose first child came during her marriage to Andrew Silverman.

The Silverman break-up grabbed front page headlines when it was learned that Cowell was having an affair with his 'good buddy' Andrew's wife, Lauren.
