Solar-Powered Binghamton ART Building Unveiled

Solar power is not just for homes and office buildings.

Ribbon cutting ceremonies have been held to mark the completion of the installation of solar panel awnings on the Downtown ART Building in Binghamton.  The facility is home to the ART Mission & Theater, a yoga studio, residential lofts and artists’ work space.

Landscape improvements were also part of the project on Prospect Avenue.  Electric Vehicle charging stations are also included and available to the public.

New York State funding helped pay for the project.
