State Police Investigate Fatal Crash In Rome

A North Bay man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Route 46 near Townline Road in Rome Tuesday afternoon.

State Police say 27-year old Tyler Bangs crossed over into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a  vehicle driven by 63-year old Roxanne Platt of Utica.

Bangs was taken to Rome Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Platt was air lifted to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse where she's currently listed in critical condition with internal injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
