State Police Investigating Cemetery Desecration In Herkimer

State Police are investigating a criminal mischief-cemetery desecration case that was reported last week by the Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery on Smallsbush Road in the Town of Herkimer.

Police say maintenance personnel discovered a large granite stone that had been damaged.

They say the cost of damage to the headstone is believed to be over $10,000
