
State Police: Man Shot, Killed Over Property Dispute
BURNS, N.Y. (AP) — State police have arrested a western New York man who they say shot and killed a 23-year-old man over a property dispute.
Authorities say the shooting took place around 3 p.m. Friday in the rural town of Burns in Allegany County.
Troopers say they took 31-year-old Matthew Gilbert into custody and charged him with murder.
He's currently being held without bail in Allegany County Jail. Prosecutors didn't know if he had a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
The victim's name has not been released Monday.
