Surfer Survives Shark Attack On LIVE TV

Professional surfer Mick Fanning is attacked by a shark at a competition in South Africa and the entire incident is captured on LIVE television.

It occurred over the weekend at an event called the J-Bay Open.

The Australian surfer told reporters he suddenly felt a tug on the rope connecting his board to his leg. He reacted by throwing a punch to the shark's back...and believe it or not, it seems to have worked as Fanning escaped unscathed.

The competition was cancelled following the scary incident.
