Syracuse Football Finally Cracks Top 25
For the first time since the end of the 2001 season, Syracuse Football is nationally ranked.
Following Saturday's 51-41 win over NC State - who was ranked No. 22 at the time - the Orange moved to No. 22 in the AP Top 25 and to No. 24 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Syracuse ran out to 24 first quarter points against NC State. Quarterback Eric Dungey would throw for 411-yards and three touchdowns, adding another on the ground. Four Syracuse receivers finished the game with at least 80 yards.

Now at 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the ACC, Dino Babers and the Orange are bowl eligible with four games to play: @Wake Forest, vs. Louisville, vs. Notre Dame (@Yankees Stadium) and @Boston College.
