The New York State Attorney General is announcing that John Tebbetts, the former owner of Tebb's Head shops in Central New York has plead guilty to felony charges regarding sales tax.

State officials say tebbetts admitted that he did not pay sales tax that his stores collected from March 2007 to September 2012.

The 34 year old Rome native plead guilty to charges of 3rd degree Grand Larceny and criminal tax fraud.

He now faces an additional sentence of up to 10 years in prison for the charges and owes the state more than $600,000 in unpaid sales tax.

Tebbetts was sentenced to 87 months in prison earlier this month for selling the synthetic drugs K2 and Bath Salts in his 12 Central New York stores.
