Three Killed, One Injured In Thruway Crash In Verona

Three people were killed in a one-vehicle, rollover crash on the Thruway in the Town of Verona on Wednesday morning.

State Police say a preliminary investigation reveals the driver lost control of the vehicle and rolled over near mile marker 256.

Police have identified the victims as 81-year old Maria Braga of Fall River, Masschusetts, 73-year old David Botelho and 72-year old Isabel Botelho of Westsport, Mass.

The driver, 81-year old Joao Braga of Fall River, Massachusetts, is being treated at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.

The investigation is continuing.
