Authorities say 30-year-old Jeremy Vann was arrested March 30, 2015 following a reported incident that began the previous night at a town of Enfield residence.

According to New York State Police, Vann and a 22-year-old woman were involved in the dispute.

Vann was charged with felony counts of robbery, criminal mischief and evidence tampering. He also was charged with misdemeanor counts of assault, unlawful imprisonment and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation.

Vann was arraigned in Enfield town court and sent to Tompkins County Jail on $5,000 bail.

Investigators say the sheriff's deputy was off-duty at the time of the alleged crimes. He was ordered to return to court on Friday.

State police did not indicate whether the woman was injured or whether she sought medical attention.
