Trooper Died Of Previously Undiagnosed Heart Condition

An autopsy performed on the body of State Trooper Donald Fredenburg shows he died of a previously undiagnosed heart condition.

The 23-year old Frendenburg, who is from Utica, collapsed about a quarter-mile into a  training run at the New York State Police Academy on Friday.

He later died at Albany Medical Center.

The cause of death was ruled to be critical stenosis of the coronary artery, with a 95% blockage.

Fredenburg who served as a Marine from 2009 until 2013 and was in his second week of training at the Academy.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
