Troopers Investigate Fatal Crash In Lee Center

A Holland Patent man was killed in a one-car crash on Sulpher Springs Road in Lee Center.

State Police say 22-year old Steven Burke lost control of his vehicle early this morning and struck a tree.

A passenger in the vehicle, 24-year old Charles Melnick, Jr, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Burke was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
