Troopers Investigating Fatal Head On Crash In Frankfort

State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened early this morning on Higby Road in Frankfort.

Police say 19-year old Parker Goldsmith of Frankfort crossed over into the path of an oncoming vehicle, striking it head-on.

A passenger in the vehicle, 42-year old Christine Brooks of Mohawk, was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Goldsmith was taken to the hospital with a broken leg.

The driver of the other vehicle, 61-year old Laura Brooks of West Winfield, is in serious condition at a Syracuse hospital.

Two other passengers were also injured.

36-year old Wendy Brooks of Ilion is in serious condition at St. Luke's Hospital with internal injuries while 65-year old Kathleen Shipman of West Winfield suffered a leg fracture.
