Turkey: Syrian Town Under Islamic State Siege is About to Fall

Multiple sources are reporting that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is saying that a Syrian town under Islamic State siege is about to fall.

The Syrian border town of Kobani appears to be falling to ISIS forces.  Kurdish officials are saying the same thing.

A group monitoring the situation in Kobani says ISIS forces took control of several buildings overnight and have secured strategic positions on both sides of the city.

Erdogan has told reporters that only ground forces can now defeat the militant Islamists.
