A 3-month investigation by Rome Police has led to the arrest of two people on felony drug charges.

Police say they seized 30 bags of heroin packaged for sale, along with marijuana and cocaine, after searching a room at the Econo Lodge on East Whitesboro Street.

The estimated street value of the drugs is about $3,000.

28-year old Kent Burgess and 27-year old Mayoh Bennett-Cunningham were both charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Burgess was also charged on an active Rome City Court bench warrant for false personation.
