UPD Welcomes Seven News Recruits

A swearing in ceremony was held at Utica City Hall on Friday for newly hired Utica Police Department recruits.

Chief Mark Williams says a total of seven recruits will be joining the UPD.

The names of the new recruits are as follows:

• Benny Grullon
• Sado Korman
• Reginald Sanders
• Felix Santana
• Adrian  Viscomi
• Patrick  Wuest
• Nedo Striker

The recruits will begin 26 weeks of training at the Mohawk Valley Police Academy on Monday.

When they successfully complete the Police Academy, they'll enter a Field Training program for 12 weeks.
